I'm an Aussie Sheila who likes to paint and collage. I discovered art and painting in April 2009 - it is now my passion and brings me great joy and happiness through it's challenges and triumphs.
It's about the journey and not the destination.......the process in which my art is created, the experimenting, the joys, the challenges, the learning, the consulting with others is more important than the end product I have created....if the end product was more important I would want to achieve perfection and therefore nothing would be created.

Trip to the States.

I had an awesome trip to the States. I loved New York City esp the Met and MOMA and Central Park. Next I went to Boston then up to Squam Lake in New Hampshire for a great art workshop with Kelly Barton and Sarah Ahearn Bellemare. I stayed with ~paintonmyclothes (https://www.deviantart.com/paintonmyclothes) in Michigan and we went to ArtPrize in Grand Rapids - wow - it takes days to see all the fantastic art. Looking forward to going again in two years time. ;)

From Perth to the States

In about six months time I will be flying from Perth, Western Australia to Dubai and New York!!!!
I know, I can't believe it either. I'm so excited and so nervous and so scared all rolled into one. I will be travelling by myself which is something I've never done before. A dream come true....
I will be attending Squam Fall 2012, which is an art workshop on Squam Lake in New Hampshire, USA - from Wednesday 12th Sept to Sunday 16th. It's more than an educational experience, it's a life experience, an opportunity to meet other creative, artistic people, to connect with a creative community.
